My dream to to buy fixer-upper houses in safe areas across the USA & fix them and make them available to local families as meeting places, places for traveling home schoolers to visit, for organizing supplies for use by ALL homeschooling families etc

For a long time I (a homeschooling mom) have had a dream of developing something I would call a Homeschool House. In fact, I would like to have Homeschool Houses all over the world someday. These houses would be similar in concept to Girl Scout Houses, where the homes are shared with the whole scouting community, except, of course, these houses would be for the whole homeschooling community.

My dream to to buy simple fixer-upper houses in nice, safe areas and have them available to local families as a meeting places, as a place to stay for traveling home schoolers, and a place to house libraries and supplies for use by the homeschooling community.

One thing I have noticed is that homeschoolers seem to have trouble finding central places to meet and have group activities. Wouldn't it be great to have homes with lots of rooms where the students and parents could fix up, decorate, and furnish in a fun style? And how about a big back yard for community gardens and a safe place to play and discover nature?

I actually have a house in mind right now. It has been on the market a long time. It is a 1940's house, very simple on one-half acre in Vancouver, Washington. It is in a safe area and well fenced. It has a good sized kitchen for cooking lessons and lunches, a huge wood floor for dancing and playing, a carpeted family room for kicking back, and 3 bedrooms for classes or library reading room.

Of course, all such dreams come down to money, don't they? I am a little stumped on how to raise enough money to buy a house. But I was thinking that there are over a million and a half homeschooling families in America alone. We could start with this one house and go on from there.
