I am a stay at home mother of 2 teens. They are good kids. One is in junior college with a 3.9 GPA. One is being homeschooled in highschool, partly with me and party in community classes and experiences. My husband of over 20 years works very hard, but for low hourly pay. He used to make a lot more as a teacher in another state. What he taught is now no longer used due to computers.
We are struggling not to go bankrupt. Up till now we have had excellent credit. I am mortified, but the debt we have is from trying to sell this house for 2 1/2 years now. It used to be our work to fix up houses as a family. Now no one is buying houses and we cannot even sell it at a loss. We cannot afford to rent it as the rent would not cover the payments and we need any cash out we can get, just to survive.
For a long time I tried to make a charity donation project out of the house with my Homeschool House project. Nothing has worked. We work so hard and are so frugal. I try to help others whenever I can. I work writing online to make some income too, but it is not enough.
I know many are in difficult situations. I work with FINN (Families in Need) to try to help others. I will post websites to show some of these things.
