Fundraising Summary
The painful truth is that everyday many people are wasted away by AIDS and many children are orphaned because of AIDS and left to fend for themselves. The good news though is that we can reverse this negative trend by keeping persons infected by HIV

Woyome Foundation's Story
The Woyome Foundation for Africa (WOFA) is raising funds across the world for the construction of a 350-bed HIV/AIDS Hospital and Research Centre to help in providing treatment and care to the millions of infected children and adults on the African continent. You’ll be helping reach out to millions of people across the West African sub-region with your donation.

The painful truth is that everyday many people are wasted away by AIDS and many children are orphaned because of AIDS and left to fend for themselves. The good news though is that we can reverse this negative trend by keeping persons infected by HIV alive and productive. It does not take much to make this difference.

The proposed 350-bed HIV/AIDS Hospital and Research Centre is planned to be constructed across the continent starting with Ghana and will be central to providing treatment and rehabilitating persons living with HIV. It will have a centre for research into HIV and AIDS, accompanied by a research fellowship for researchers into HIV/AIDS, particularly in Africa.

Your donation or contribution to this project will form the blocks that will house this treatment and research centre. You donations will ultimately save millions of lives across the continent of Africa. We are One People, One World, with One Destiny.
We are hoping with your support to raise at least US$115,000,000.00 (One Hundred and Fifteen Million Dollars to put up the hospital (together with equipment and other state of the art facilities) and offer hope of life to many who think that acquiring HIV is a death sentence.

WOFA is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in Ghana and we are happy to invite you to join in realising the vision of a world united by the common purpose of achieving an AIDS-free planet.

We have proposed direct approaches to achieving universal access to anti-retroviral medicines by persons living with HIV. We believe all HIV-positive pregnant women must be supported to prevent mother to child transmission of the virus. We have plans to engage young people in profitable activities that will lessen the risks of acquiring HIV. More importantly we wish to keep persons living with HIV alive and productive.

There are so many who need our help but I believe our brothers, sisters and especially children infected with HIV and those who have AIDS do really need our support. The little we give makes such a difference in their lives, its unimaginable. Most are beset with the ravages of poverty.
I feel the little I am giving, which by most standards may not be much, will still go some ways to assist them. I really hope I can join Woyome Foundation for Africa to Make A Difference!
Vitus Nanbigne [vitusnanbigneDonated between $10 and $250] from Accra, Ghana gave $200 on 22-Feb-08
How can I find peace when the children cannot sleep
How can I smile when many will lose their lives
I will save one child today and save a nation tomorrow
I will save one person today and save generations tomorrow
Join in giving to save Africa from HIV/AIDS
We can and we will win the war against HIV/AIDS
We can truly make the difference in the lives of millions
By the time you finish reading this one person would have died of AIDS
And one or several children would have been orphaned and left to fend for themselves.
You can stop this trend by donating today. BE GENEROUS.

Michael Dogor from Accra gave $100 on 21-Feb-08
I may not be able to save an entire city or country. But I could contribute in saving at least one life. Please join me in helping save more lives.

This is my widow's mite towards the construction of the 350-Bed HIV/AIDS Research Hospital and do encourage everyone to support such a good initiative by the Woyome Foundation for Africa.
We are One People, One World and with One Destiny, You can make the difference.
Vanda Felder [janineDonated between $10 and $250] from Accra, Ghana gave $100 on 20-Feb-08
AIDS deaths increase the number of orphans. AIDS death orphan in 1999 were 126,000, will rise to 152,000 in the year 2004 and 603,000 in year 2014.

There will be tremendous strain on social systems to cope with a large number of orphans and provide them with needed care supervision.

We could make that diference.
Alexander Blass [AlexBDonated between $250 and $1000] from Baltimore, MD, USA gave $125 on 13-Feb-08
It is a true honor and privilege to support such an important organization and cause.

No issue in our world today is more pressing and urgent than the global fight against HIV/AIDS. 7 out of 10 infected are in Africa. Deaths due to AIDS in Africa were nearly 3 million in 2006, of which 500,000 were aged 15 or younger.

I was humbled to have the opportunity to fly to Ghana recently and meet with the enter WOFA team. Their passion and dedication is truly incredible and unsurpassed. WOFA's ground-breaking pan-African conference on HIV/AIDS for World AIDS Day was an experience I will truly never forget. 40 African nations were represented and we visited remote villages and hospitals.

Please join us as we come together as a global family, whether it is $10 in your pocket or $10,000. Help make a direct, lasting impact in the lives of millions of Africans.

One People. One World. One Destiny. You Make the Difference.
